감독: 홍상수
홍상수 감독의 영화에는 반복적으로 출연하는 배우들이 많다 보니, 다소 혼란스럽게 느껴질 때가 있습니다. 이 작품에 나오는 고현정이 저 작품에서도 같은 고현정인지, 여기 등장하는 김태우가 저기에서도 동일한 김태우인지 순간적으로 헷갈리기도 합니다.
홍 감독의 작품은 적어도 2년에 한 편씩 꾸준히 발표되며, 상당한 다작을 이어가고 있습니다. 만약 같은 배우들을 지속적으로 기용하는 것이 의도된 연출이라면, 자칫 홍상수 감독의 배우 군단이 가진 개성이 희미해질 수도 있겠다는 생각이 듭니다.
사실 이와 관련하여 깊이 있는 의견을 제시할 만한 지식이 있는 것은 아니지만, 문득 그런 생각이 들었습니다. 괜한 참견을 하는 것 같기도 하네요.

Hong Sang-soo's films often feature a recurring cast of actors, which can sometimes feel a bit confusing. I find myself wondering whether the Go Hyun-jung in this film is the same Go Hyun-jung from that one, or if the Kim Tae-woo here is the same as the Kim Tae-woo there.
The director consistently releases at least one film every two years, making him quite a prolific filmmaker. If the repeated casting of the same actors is a deliberate artistic choice, there is a possibility that the unique individuality of Hong Sang-soo’s ensemble could become diluted over time.
Of course, I don’t claim to have deep knowledge on the subject, but these are just thoughts that crossed my mind. Perhaps I’m overanalyzing things unnecessarily.
