공매도(short Selling)

공매도는 주식을 빌려서 파는 거래 방법입니다. 쉽게 말하면, 주식 가격이 떨어질 것이라고 예상할 때, 투자자가 주식을 먼저 빌려서 팔고, 나중에 가격이 떨어지면 그 주식을 다시 사서 돌려주는 방식입니다.

예를 들어, A라는 주식이 현재 100,000원인데, 이 주식이 가격이 떨어질 것 같다고 생각한 투자자는 다른 사람에게 주식을 빌려서 팔고, 가격이 80,000원으로 떨어지면 다시 그 주식을 사서 돌려줍니다. 그럼 차액인 20,000원을 이익으로 얻을 수 있습니다.

즉, 주식 가격이 하락할 때 이익을 보는 거래 방식이 바로 공매도입니다. 하지만 주식 가격이 오르면 손실을 보게 되므로, 위험이 큰 거래 방식이기도 합니다.
