  나의 친구, 그의 아내 (2006) 감독: 신동일 기대하지 않았던 영화가 의외로 잘 다듬어져서 놀랐습니다. 이야기의 현실적인 면모 때문이기도 하겠지만, 약간 억지스러운 설정이 있는 것도 사실입니다. 하지만 이 정도의 한국 영화라면 정말 오랜만에 나온 수작이라고 생각합니다. 사족을 덧붙이자면, 바로 전에 본 영화인 다소 유치하게 느껴졌던 최신판 '하녀'보다 훨씬 잘 만들었다고 생각합니다. 신동일 감독의 다음 작품을 기대해 보겠습니다. My Friend, His Wife (2006) Director: Shin Dong-il I was pleasantly surprised by how well-crafted this movie was, despite not having high expectations. The story feels realistic, although there are some slightly forced plot elements. Nevertheless, I believe this is a rare gem in recent Korean cinema. As a side note, I think this film is far better than the somewhat juvenile remake of The Housemaid I had just watched. I'm looking forward to Director Shin Dong-il's next project.

  하녀 (2010) 감독: 임상수 졸작이었습니다. 기대가 컸던 만큼 실망도 컸던 것일까요. 혹시나 하는 마음에 다시 한번 생각해 보았지만, 역시 졸작이었습니다. 개인적으로 전도연 배우의 팬으로서 그녀가 안타까울 뿐입니다. 이런 작품을 가지고 칸 영화제에까지 간 제작진들과 배우들이 부끄럽습니다. The Housemaid (2010) Director: Im Sang-soo It was a disappointing film. Perhaps the high expectations made the letdown even greater. I gave it a second thought, but it was still a disappointing film. Personally, as a fan of Jeon Do-yeon, I feel sorry for her. I find it embarrassing for the cast and crew who took this film all the way to the Cannes Film Festival.
